Where does the time go?

It is Spring already, my wisteria is blooming, the air is heavy with their scent! Have been trying to prepare for a show at the end of the month and all I want to do is play outside. BUT, I have a new toy to play with. It is called a beadroller, so now I will be able to make consistantly sized round beads!
Tomorrow I will start another stained glass class. I love teaching. It is so cool to see folks go from afraid of the glass to finishing and admiring their first design with pride!

More William Holland
Well I am pretty much recouperated from my week at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts. This time I took the Caboshon cutting class. There I learned to use a machine called a "Genie" made by the Diamond Pacific Company in CA. It is my intention to acquire one of these. The following are some of the cabs I cut. My instructor, Jerry Mason, was very patient and knowledgeable. I offer these for sale, For you wire wrappers, the sides have a nice bezel shape to make wrapping the stone easier. I also will be wrapping and offering finished cabs for your jewelry stash. Hope you enjoy.
BTW I am planning on attending Wm. Holland next year too. To take advanced wire wrap and a class called cold connections. I could become a professional student there!

June update
I haven't been here for awhile. Have sold many of the items I had listed here. I have some new things to post, but probably won't get it done till Monday. It is the weekend before my birthday weekend, and then of course next weekend it will be "the weekend after my birthday!" You catch my drift?
I have been busy lately. Two weeks ago I attended William Holland School for Lapidary Arts. What a great learning experience. Met some really interesting people. Took the Silver I class and learned a lot. Got some good basic knowledge I will be able to translate into my own thing. Met a really talented silversmith in Savannah and he is teaching me stuff too, am making a dynamite bracelet. We melted all my silver scraps from the pieces saved when wire wrapping. Ended up with a good ounce. He then poured into an ingot and ran through his rolling mill until it was about 20 gauge. Made a pattern, and I learned to "pierce". I will share a picture when it is done. I will teach him to make lamp work beads.

Figured it out!
Well I spent most of the day figuring this PayPal thing out. Ok well maybe not completely figured out. I couldn't get the "add to cart" button under the picture of the item, so be careful , they are all listed to the left though.
It is my understanding you do not have to have a PayPal account to purchase items, that you would be able to charge to your credit card as well, but need to use the PayPal link.
Watch for new and wonderful items often.
Please sign on as a follower, it will keep you up to date on new pretties as well as what is going on in my life. Thank you so much for looking. Off to wrap some stones!

Stained glass class
I am teaching a stained glass class at our local art gallery. My students this month are a mother and her grown daughter. I taught soldering today and they both seem to have a gift! For some, soldering can be challenging. These two ladies are "naturals". I will post pics of them and their creations next week when they finish the class. I love to teach this class.
Stopped by a friend's home after the class and she gave me a beautiful rhodochrosite stone to wire wrap for her. Started sketching the desgn today so will probaly do a practice wrap in copper tomorrow. Love wire wrapping too!
Still trying to figure out how to put PayPal on this blog so you can buy my designs if you wish.

Some eye candy

It has been very cold in Georgia the past week. Today it went down to 26 degrees. That is really cold for us in the South. Here is the kicker, the forecast is calling for 71 degrees on Friday and warm through the weekend. Sheesh!
Have some pretties to show off today. Hope you like them. The one on the left is a copper Drusy which I wire wrapped. It just sparkles. Now if I could find it. Why does my house eat things???? The pendant on the right is an opalized Drusy I wire wrapped for a friend to give to his wife for Christmas. She loves it!

This is one of my favorite things. I love sunflowers in all forms. This particular one was a C-band satellite dish in a former life. Remember those? It is/was 9 foot in diameter. I say was because it is no more. We wanted to put a fire pit where it stood and in moving it, we destroyed it. I was very sad, thank goodness I took lots of pics. An artist friend and I used common ordinary spray paint to transform this into beauty. I tooled the center from a sheet of copper.
